beIN Sports secures French pay-TV rights to Euro 2020
beIN Sports viewers in France will be able see the complete fixture list for the UEFA European Championships.
The channel has acquired the pay-TV rights for the competition that for the first time is being held in 12 European cities.
“We continue to bid proportionately for premium sport, and this deal to broadcast EURO 2020 adds to our unrivalled library of premium football and other sports content in France, reinforcing beIN Sports’ long-term position as one of the leading sports broadcasters in the world,” said Yousef Al-Obaidly, CEO, beIN Media Group.
Commercial channels TF1 and M6 will share the rights to 23 out of the 51 matches that will be available free-to-air on terrestrial television. The two companies have paid a combined total of €50 million.
