The company has sent a message to its CANAL PLAY subscribers that it will shut down the CANAL PLAY service on November 26.
The inability to compete with Netflix and Amazon has reduced the number of subscribers to France's CANAL PLAY service from 800,000 to 200,000 in just two years.
Channel Plus has already partnered with Netflix and is launching a new subscription package called "Breastfeeding + Netflix" instead of CANAL PLAY, which provides access to the content of more than 20 Netflix cinema networks.
