Expanding Globecast's partnership with France's Eutelsat
Globecast plans to expand its partnership with Eutelsat to launch a new platform for Hotbird satellites to launch HD and UHD platforms. The company has recently increased its DVB-S2 broadcast capacity significantly. Samuel Lermcaire, Globecast's project manager, says we plan to smooth the growing move of packages from SD to HD and UHD.
Deutsche Welle Germany (DW), TRT Arabic and Belarus 24 have been among the first Globecast customers to upgrade their image quality over the past few months from SD to Hotchat. Globecast is ready to serve HD and UHD to other networks.
