Setanta Sports debuts in Ukraine
Setanta Sports has launched in Ukraine after having had its name added to the list of foreign channels allowed to be distributed in the country.
In a statement, the regulator National Council says the channel, which is broadcast 24 hours a day from a studio complex in Dublin via a terrestrial data channel organised by Datagroup, complies with the requirements of the European Convention on Transfrontier Television and Laws of Ukraine.
As previously reported by Broadband TV News, Setanta Sport is distributed in Ukraine by StarLightMedia’s digital division.
Quoting StarlightMedia, Telekritika reports that nine pay-TV providers are already offering the channel to their subscribers.
They include Terra-Telecom in Kiev and Infomir in Odessa, as well as the national OTT services Megogo, Divan TV and Oll.tv.
