Canal+ “stable” in first quarter
Les Chaines Canal+ had total revenues of €473 million in the quarter, barely changed on the €472 million it posted in the same period last year despite a decline in the advertising market.

The total number of subscriptions, both individual and collective, to Canal+ (Metropolitan France, overseas departments and territories and Africa) as of March 31 amounted to 5.5 million – a figure the company said was “stable” compared to a year earlier.

Among the highlights for the first quarter was obtaining a 4.1% audience share among viewers aged 4+ in France and securing full, exclusive rights to the Barclays Premier League for an additional three seasons, starting this August.
