New landmark for Greece’s Cosmote History
Greece’s first and to date only documentary channel Cosmote TV History is being made available in HD from today (Wednesday, February 14).

Celebrating its second anniversary, it has also outlined its plans for 2018. These include the airing of over 40 new productions and co-productions, amounting to over 300 hours, or over 25% of the channel’s output, and digitisation of the entire film archive of the Greek documentary director Vassilis Maros.

Speaking in a press conference marking the channel’s second anniversary, Michael Tsamaz, OTE group chairman and CEO, said: “Greece is a country of immense historical and cultural heritage. With the launch of Cosmote History, our goal was to promote this heritage and bring Greek audiences closer to our history and traditions. During a challenging period for our country, we meant to make our fellow citizens proud of their legacy. The high position of the channel in viewers’ preference indicates that we are in the right direction”.
