3Vision acquires 30 channels for MTN Cyprus
3Vision has acquired over 30 international linear channels for the new MTN TV service recently launched by MTN Cyprus.

MTN Cyprus has launched their first TV service, MTN TV providing subscribers over 41 local and international channels in the Standard Pack, and 54 local and international channels in the Complete Pack. MTN Cyprus contracted 3Vision to assist with sourcing and acquiring the linear carriage rights to the international channel offering.

MTN TV offers the ability to subscribe to a TV product at a very competitive rate, compared to other well established players in the market. MTN TV gives subscribers the ability to boast a triple play solution (Mobile, Fixed Internet and TV) billed through one provider.

With MTN TV Go, MTN TV subscribers can also enjoy their favourite content from selected channels outside the home, on their tablet or smartphone, by downloading the free app which is available on both iOS and Android devices. The service includes Multiscreen, Record and Replay functions.

MTN’s Innovation/New Business Development Senior Manager Vasilis Papadopoulos said “3Vision have been instrumental in the successful launch of MTN TV with the acquisition of over 30 international linear channels for our portfolio. Throughout our collaboration, they have proved not only to be experts in their field, but also extremely supportive every step of the way. The quality of their work, organisation and communication is simply unmatched”

3Vision’s COO Jonathan Nickell commented, “We are delighted to have assisted MTN with the acquisition of a slate of leading internationally recognised channels. MTN TV is an exciting service available in the Cypriot market. Its affordability in the market makes the product even more attractive and accessible to a wider customer base. We expect interactive and multiscreen TV features to become the norm in the market, as multi-device content consumption continues to grow as the provision of mobile data shifts to benefit consumers.”
