Revenue at Russian satellite television operator Tricolor TV grew by 11.4 percent in the first quarter to RUB 4.4 billion, reports Comnews.ru. The figure soared by more than 60 percent during 2015-2016.

The operator's subscriber base had reached 12.15 million households on 31 March. There were 8.7 million households using Tricolor's HDTV services. There were 1.77 million customers using HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) standard services, up by 21 percent. The number of customers using a multi-screen service from Tricolor TV grew by 3.7 percent and the VoD subscriber base jumped by 27 percent to 1.74 million.

Annual average ARPU at the operator totaled RUB 1,529.

Tricolor TV's satellite subscriber base accounted for 74 percent of all Russian satellite TV customers.
