Cyfrowy Polsat inks NBC VOD deal
Cyfrowy Polsat has signed an agreement with NBCUniversal Television Distribution for the distribution of hit movies on Cyfrowy Polsat’s VOD service and internet platform ipla.
It involves dozens of titles from NBCUniversal’s library, along with all new productions, with one of the first to be made available being Les Miserables.
This is the third VOD agreement the Polish company has secured with Hollywood majors, the others being with Disney and Warner Bros.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s VOD service is available to all the platform’s subscribers with a HD receiver and movies are offered on a rotational basis on 20 satellite channels, with new titles being added each week.
Meanwhile ipla is available via ipla.tv, dedicated apps on devices using Windows and selected smart TVs (Panasonic, Samsung, LG and Philips), though only to viewers in Poland.
