Leading Italian pay-TV provider Sky Italia has made the second senior management changes in a matter of a few days.
Hot on the heels of appointing Delia Bushell as Chief Commercial Officer
to lead the Marketing & Sales department, Sky Italia has
consolidated its programming structure to follow a model already adopted
by News Corp in the UK and in Germany.
Henceforth there will be a single group led by Andrea Scrosati who has
been appointed Executive Vice President Programming and put in charge of
Cinema, Entertainment, Partner Channels and Sky TG24. The key sport
content will remain a separate group.
Commenting on the changes, Andrea Zappia, CEO of Sky Italia, said: “Sky
boasts a wealth of outstanding premium content, but it still has great
potential for further improving its quality and investing in new TV
formats. This new division was created to fulfil this potential, and
Andrea Scrosati’s great professionalism and in-depth knowledge of the TV
sector are the best guarantee for achieving this important goal.”
